Looks like the lovely Rachel McAdams is in for a busy 2017. It has been reported that Rachel is in negotiations with Aggregate, the company that has been producing the Game Night project, to star alongside Jason Bateman for New Line Cinema’s comedy film, Game Night.

Game Night tells the story of a group of couple friends who gather for a regular game night when something goes awry. Rachel McAdams and Jason Bateman are set to take the lead roles.

The movie will be directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, who also helmed the screenplay’s latest draft. It will be produced by Aggregate Films and Davis Entertainment.

Bateman was last recently seen in the comedy starrer Office Christmas Party. He is also busy with the Ozark production as one of the actors, directors, and executive producers. The Netflix series is set to release sometime this year.

Rachel on the other hand just recently starred in the highly successful Marvel movie Doctor Strange. Earlier last year, she was also seen in the highly acclaimed movie, Spotlight, which earned her a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination. She is also currently filming her new period movie, Disobedience, alongside Rachel Weisz. The movie is also slated for release this 2017.

Game Night will be Rachel’s first true comeback in a comedy movie since she starred in the 2005 box-office hit Wedding Crashers.
