The Vow (2012)

This is a hugely successful box office hit directed by Michael Sucsy. The plot of the film revolves around two lovers, Paige Collins (Rachel McAdams) and Leo (Channing Tatum), who are about to kiss each other when a lorry rams them from behind ,putting the couple in the hospital. McAdams is pretty much in her element as a woman in love while the movie follows the progress of their relationship from the beginning to the time of the accident.

To the Wonder (2012)

This is yet another romantic movie starring the highly versatile Rachel McAdams. In this film, Rachel acts as a long-time lover to one Neil. Neil is already in love with another girl, Marina, but upon meeting Jane (Rachel McAdams), his affinity for Marina begins to fade.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011)

Directed by Guy Ritchie, this is a mystery film about the famous detective, Sherlock Holmes.Rachel McAdams stars as Irene Adler who innocently delivers a package to a German doctor (Wolf Kahler). Little does she know that it contains a bomb which can be detonated by opening the package. Sherlock Holmes steps in to save the situation and just like that, world order is restored.

Midnight in Paris (2011)

In this romantic movie, Rachel McAdams stars as the fiancée to a successful Hollywood screenwriter, Gil Pender (Owen Wilson). The two go on a vacation in Paris, France, where they meet the wealthy parents of the lady. Needless to say, Rachel excels in the casting of romantic roles in movies, and this one is right up there with her best performances.

Morning Glory (2010)

Rachel McAdams takes the role of an aspiring news producer by the name Becky fuller. However, her commitment to her career puts her at loggerheads with potential suitors. When she is laid off from her current job, the mother advises her to quit news production altogether and focus on her life.

Sherlock Holmes (2009)

This is another of Guy Ritchie’s masterpieces showcasing Holmes eccentric detective skills. Rachel McAdams stars as Irene Adler, a professional thief who is also a former adversary to Sherlock Holmes. Irene visits the detective in the guise of seeking help in locating a missing man. Holmes follows her and observes her exchanging information with a secret employer.

State of Play (2009)

In this movie, Rachel McAdams features as part of the supporting cast. She takes the role of Della Frye, a blogger with reporting skills working for an online newspaper. It was a highly successful movie, grossing over $80 million.
