Back in April the Tracking Board first reported that Rachel was the front runner for “A Most Wanted Man“. We are so excited Rachel now has two films line upped! She will start filming “About Time” in London next month.

Update: THR confirmed Rachel “signed on” to join “A Most Wanted Man“, they also reveal she will play “a woman who becomes involved in the international intrigue” which must mean she is Annabel Richter, the lawyer in the original book. Thanks to Wendy for the heads up!

Senator Film Production and Solveig Fina are co-producing “A Most Wanted Man” with Amusement Park Films, Potboiler Film and Ink Factory.

Senator’s distrib arm, Senator Film Verleih, will release the film in Germany next year.

Pic has so far secured €900,000 ($1.15 million) from Hamburg funder Filmfoerderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein (FFHSH) and is in line for additional coin from other local subsidies.

Anton Corbijn (“Control”) is directing the John Le Carre adaptation Philip Seymour Hoffman and Rachel McAdams.

Film is co-developed and co-financed by the U.K’s Film4 with Tessa Ross as executive producer.

Helge Sasse, Senator Entertainment CEO said: “We are happy that the support of Hamburg and Berlin subsidies made it possible for the producers to shoot the film in Germany; that made it a natural project that we are pleased to be part of. It not only fits Senator’s slate and is our kind of movie, it also allows us to participate in the production a major international blockbuster right on our doorstep.”

The article doesn’t mention Rachel as part of the cast of “A Most Wanted Man” so we are not sure Rachel officially signed on because she could be an attraction for buyers. We hope all films will find distributors, so we hope we will get a release date for them in the next days to weeks.

In a rights split pact that could become more common as the international sales sector evolves, Said Ben Said’s SBS Prods. is dividing international sales duties with Wild Bunch on Brian De Palma’s “Passion,” one of the biggest European titles being brought into the Cannes Market this year.

Paris-based production-sales house SBS — which specializes in content considered higher-end for Europe, made by prestige auteurs (it produced Roman Polanski’s “Carnage,” for example) — will sell Italy, Germany, Spain, U.S., Australia and France.

Wild Bunch is repping Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, U.K. and Scandinavia.

Ben Said, producer of “The Girl on the Train,” said the sales split is a case of exploiting strengths and maximizing revenues.

“Asia and Latin America can require multiple contracts, a large sales structure. Wild Bunch is a specialist in Latin American and Asian sales, with excellent relationships,” he noted.

Produced by SBS Prods. and Germany’s Integral Film, “Passion” stars Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace in an English-language remake of Alain Corneau’s 2010 psychodrama “Love Crime,” about a battle to the death between a top corporate exec and her protege, which Ben Said also produced.

The producer said that “Passion” is a return to the style of De Palma’s early thrillers, such as “Dressed to Kill” and “Blow Out.” Pic has just wrapped principal photography in Berlin.

We heard they are aiming for a Berlinale Film Festival release in 2013, but we are hoping they will release the movie in the US late 2012.

It was previously reporter that the film was titled “The Burial” but the producers confirmed that it was a fake title. The distributor FilmNation still list the movie as untitled on their official website, so I am not sure “To The Wonder” is the final title. It was recently confirmed that the film wasn’t part of the Cannes Film Festival selection.

It does seem like the film is (almost) done since it already got rated. Let’s hope we will get some official news about the release soon. Thanks to Projectedlight from the IMDB board for the find!

The Hollywood Reporter broke the story last week about Rachel being in talks for “About Time” but now it seems like it’s official. I am not sure this means that the negations are finalized but Freud’s tweet sure implies this.

The movie is directed and written by Richard Curtis and stars Domhnall Gleeson (male lead), Bill Nighy, Tom Hollander, Margot Robbie, Lydia Wilson and Vanessa Kirby. Go to our previous post for more information, production for the movie will begin next month and will wrap up in August.

Rachel McAdams is in negotiations to star in About Time, the latest romantic comedy from British filmmaker Richard Curtis.

Curtis, who wrote and directed Love Actually and penned Bridget Jones’s Diary, wrote the About Time script and is directing. The story is described as a fantastical feel-good movie about a man and his ability to travel back in time. He eventually meets the girl of his dreams. Domhnall Gleeson, son of actor Brendan Gleeson, will play the male lead. Bill Nighy, Tom Hollander, Margot Robbie, Lydia Wilson and Vanessa Kirby are set to co-star.

McAdams would play the dream girl, a role Zooey Deschanel had once been attached to play. Production is set to begin in London in June. Working Title’s Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Liza Chasin and Amelia Granger are producing.

McAdams is coming off a starring turn in The Vow, the romantic drama with Channing Tatum that grossed a whopping $183 million worldwide on a budget of only $30 million. After she shoots About Time, McAdams will make Most Wanted Man, a thriller that Anton Corbijn is attached to direct. That movie has a tentative September start date.

She next will appear in theaters in Terrence Malick’s untitled latest project, whose all-star cast also includes Ben Affleck, Javier Bardem and Rachel Weisz.

McAdams is repped by UTA, Magnolia Entertainment and Hirsch Wallerstein.

We added a photo of Rachel in the audience and outside the centre before heading in. She was at the game with her friend Megan and her stylists Rob and Mariel, who created some of Rachel’s best red carpet looks including at last year’s Cannes Film Festival.
