The first trailer for “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” was recently rated (June 27th, 2011) and got a PG rating and the running time will be 2:16. It’s most likely the trailer will be released soon, and we have the feeling it could be attached to “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2″ which will hit theaters July 15th.

We also added a lot of additions to the “Sherlock Holmes” gallery section, thanks so Downey Unlimited. We added more production stills, two new promo photoshoots and official behind the scenes photos.

As you may recall we recently got the exciting news Rachel will make a cameo as Irene Adler in the second “Sherlock Holmes” (out December 16, this year).

Rachel is still not officially in the go for Sherlock Holmes 2, but Robert Downey Jr. gave us a little more insight. Check it out:

Downey also spoke about who will return for the sequel, such as his Sherlock Holmes co-star Rachel McAdams, although it seems that those decisions haven’t been made as of yet.

“It’s hard to say [who is coming back],” Downey said. The biggest question mark is on Holmes’ love interest in the first outing, played by Rachel McAdams. “Because Irene Adler only appeared in one of the stories of Doyle’s reservoir of activities. But we’ll find out quickly.”

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films has announced the nominations for the 36th Annual Saturn Awards that will be presented on June 24 in Burbank. Avatar had the most nominations but “Sherlock Holmes” was second with 8 nominations and one of the nominations is for Rachel for Best Supporting Actress. Congratulations Rachel! Warner Bros. have released the details surrounding the Sherlock Holmes Blu-Ray! Apparently the film will be released on March 30, so make sure to mark your calendars! Here is more information:

he successful reimagining of Sherlock Holmes starring Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Rachel McAdams and Mark Strong will be presented on Blu-ray in 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and 1.85:1 1080p video. A DVD version and digital copy will be included in every Blu-ray package.

Exclusive to Blu-ray will be Maximum Movie Mode that will run the length of the film. Additional bonus features are shared between formats and will appear on a second disc.
