Rachel in 2011: A Year in Review!

Just like last year we decided to review this year of Rachel in an update that will give you a review and summary of Rachel in 2011. She had two films coming out: “Midnight in Paris” and “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” and also did some promotion for “Morning Glory” early this year. With Cannes and the succes of “Midnight in Paris” it has been a good year for our girl.

Tina Fey Learned from Rachel

Mean Girls” co-star Tina Fey, who you also know from SNL and 30Rock, is currently promoting her book Bossypants and gave an interview to NPR. She reveled she learned from Rachel and has high praise for her. If you ever heard the audio commentary of the “Mean Girls” DVD you already knew Tina admired Rachel’s acting ability and personality but it’s pretty awesome she gives this kind of praise.

I will say I learned that [dealing with the camera and sound] lesson from Rachel McAdams. Do you know the actress Rachel McAdams? She was in “Mean Girls,” and she was a real – and is – a real, legit actor and film actor. And that was the first movie that I had ever been on. And I would watch – I would stand with the director sometimes and watch her scenes.

And I would say to the director: Like, that’s really small. Is she doing it? And then watching her on film, watching the dailies, I’m like: Oh, yes, she’s amazing. She’s a film actor. She’s not pushing. And so I kind of learned that lesson from watching her a couple years before.

Nina Dobrev is Fascinated by Rachel

Canadia actress Nina Dobrev (The Vampire Dairies) admitted in previous interviews that she admires Rachel’s work and really sees her as someone she looks up to. In a recent interview, for Flaire of February 2011, Nina opens up about her fascination for Rachel.

Diary she would love to read:

“I would never actually read anyone’s diary, but I would be fascinated to step into Rachel McAdams’s shoes. We’re both from Ontario and studied in Toronto so I’d be interested to know what her process, achievements, and hardships have been throughout the years. She’s a great talent who holds her own opposite names such as Robert Downey Jr., Diane Keaton, Eric Bana, and Harrison Ford.”

Marion Cotillard thinks Rachel is Amazing

Oscar-winning French actress Marion Cotillard is currently promoting her latest project ‘Little White Lies‘ at the Toronto International Film Festival and she has high praise for her co-star (in ‘Midnight in Paris‘) Rachel:

Rachel McAdams is one of my favourite actresses,” Cotillard said during an interview at the Toronto International Film Festival, where her latest project, “Little White Lies,” is debuting. “And unfortunately we didn’t really work together because we are in the same movie but we don’t have any scenes together. “I really hope I will have the opportunity and the great chance one day to work with her. I think she’s amazing.”

READ Campaign

Rachel donated her image to the American Library Association among many other starts in their new ‘Read‘ campaign to convey the simple but powerful message: READ. All the celebrities hold a book of their choice and Rachel is holding ‘The Time Traveler’s Wife‘ and as you probably know Rachel played Claire, the main character, in the film based on the nationally bestselling book. You can buy the poster with Rachel over here. The outtake of the poster is from a portrait session we added before in our gallery.

Mel B wants to kiss Rachel

We are a bit slow on Rachel news as she is currently filming in Paris, I found this article.  It is slight sweet and endearing.

She said: “If I could have a dance-off with any celebrity it would probably be Britney Spears because I think she’s hot. I’ll tell you who else I think is hot, Rachel McAdams. I’d like to kiss her!”

Director Jason Reitman would like to work with Rachel

He is the director of ‘Up in the Air’ which is getting rave reviews.

Nothing earth moving, just a nice ‘shout out’ of sorts.  And really who doesn’t want to work with Rachel.

On other actors he’d like to work with: I really love Laura Linney, I really love Rachel McAdams, love Joan Allen, I love Matt Damon, I think he’s actually really great . . . who else? I like Jonah Hill a lot, I like Seth Rogen.
