The Wrap is reporting that Rachel and her sister (and make-up artist) Kayleen will be featured in season five (second season at TLC) of “Who Do You Think You Are?“. As we reported on our official twitter account Rachel was spotted filming in Plymouth (UK) a few weeks ago for a series about “her ancestry” but now we officially have confirmation. BBC originally aired the genealogy documentary series in the UK and the American version was adapted by NBC before moving to TLC last year. It has not yet been announced when the episode with Rachel and Kayleen is going to air but the series premiere is July 23 at 9/8c.

The second season of TLC’s genealogy docu-series “Who Do You Think You Are?” will feature six new journeys with Valerie Bertinelli, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Lauren Graham, Kelsey Grammer, Cynthia Nixon, Rachel McAdams and her sister, Kayleen McAdams.

Also, TLC has acquired 10 episodes from the show’s previous seasons on NBC. The episodes feature Matthew Broderick, Lisa Kudrow, Rob Lowe, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sarah Jessica Parker, Brooke Shields, Vanessa Williams and Rita Wilson.

The show returns for its second season on TLC and its fifth season overall on Wednesday, July 23 at 9/8c.

There’s something so profoundly beautiful about building a home from the ground up,” she explained. “It’s about more than doors and windows and paint. It’s about family, future, and building the foundation for lasting memories.”

The McAdams family spent Thursday afternoon constructing the footings and foundation for the home on Westlake Drive, alongside volunteers.

Rachel was photographed by Canadian photographer Jason Bruggen as part of the stop the mega quarry protest in Ontario. As you all know Rachel has an interest for the environment, she is co-founder of GreenIsSexy.org, and we are proud to see she is supporting her home town Ontario for this protest. Go for more information to NDACT.com and be sure to check out all the portraits Jason Bruggen shot for the protest.

There are only a few things essential to human life. Food and water are two of them. Someone is proposing to excavate a massive quarry in Ontario, destroying thousands of aces of prime farmland and putting clean water for millions at risk. When it comes to protecting our food and water, we are all neighbors..

Mean Girls” co-star Tina Fey, who you also know from SNL and 30Rock, is currently promoting her book Bossypants and gave an interview to NPR. She reveled she learned from Rachel and has high praise for her. If you ever heard the audio commentary of the “Mean Girls” DVD you already knew Tina admired Rachel’s acting ability and personality but it’s pretty awesome she gives this kind of praise.

I will say I learned that [dealing with the camera and sound] lesson from Rachel McAdams. Do you know the actress Rachel McAdams? She was in “Mean Girls,” and she was a real – and is – a real, legit actor and film actor. And that was the first movie that I had ever been on. And I would watch – I would stand with the director sometimes and watch her scenes.

And I would say to the director: Like, that’s really small. Is she doing it? And then watching her on film, watching the dailies, I’m like: Oh, yes, she’s amazing. She’s a film actor. She’s not pushing. And so I kind of learned that lesson from watching her a couple years before.
