Diary she would love to read:

“I would never actually read anyone’s diary, but I would be fascinated to step into Rachel McAdams’s shoes. We’re both from Ontario and studied in Toronto so I’d be interested to know what her process, achievements, and hardships have been throughout the years. She’s a great talent who holds her own opposite names such as Robert Downey Jr., Diane Keaton, Eric Bana, and Harrison Ford.”

Canoe Canada ‘Morning Glory’ Interview

Rachel recently talked, via the phone, to the website Canoe Canada to talk about her upcoming ‘Morning Glory‘. She was in Oklahoma to film the still untitled Terrence Malick project (so I guess it’s officially confirmed she is part of the cast). It’s a really good and fun interview, the excerpt can be found below and be sure to read the full interview in our press archive.

You’re going to be seeing a lot of Rachel McAdams.

This is a good thing.

McAdams, 32, has just finished filming one movie and has already begun working on the next, and there are two or three others in the pipeline that will keep her front and centre in theatres through 2012.

On Wednesday, when the comedy Morning Glory opens, many are predicting that it will be the film to launch McAdams into the stratosphere.

As Becky Fuller, a bright young producer hoping to fix a stale morning news show, McAdams is the centre of a smart, funny movie about TV and towering egos. And she holds her own in a cast that includes Harrison Ford and Diane Keaton as the cranky, argumentative news anchors McAdams has to whip into shape.

RACHEL McADAMS, a 31-year-old Canadian actress who lives here in a house she shares with her younger brother when she’s not off shooting movies, has long held a green card. She can usually cross the border to the United States easily, but a few years ago an American customs officer recognized Ms. McAdams and gave her a hard time.

She kicked me to the curb,” recalled Ms. McAdams, a slight, 5-foot-4 blonde. “She was tough. I had pink hair at the time, and she said, ‘Don’t dye your hair that color, and don’t make any more stupid movies.’ ”

Read the full interview after the jump, it’s definitely worth reading! Find out what her co-star Harrison Ford, “Morning Glory” director Roger Michell and her “Midnight in Paris” director Woody Allen said about her.

InStyle cover November 2010

Rachel is gracing the cover of the November US edition of InStyle Magazine – look out for it on shelves soon!

People had part of the cover interview, it gives a nice insight to Rachel:

Rachel McAdams: ‘I’m Not Shy’ About Dating
Turns out no one should be surprised that Rachel McAdams has been getting cozy with her costar from the upcoming film Midnight in Paris.

The Canadian actress, 33, has been out and about with Welsh actor Michael Sheen, with the pair spotted engaging in serious PDA recently.

And, McAdams tells November’s InStyle magazine, dating an actor makes perfect sense.

“I usually take away one close relationship from every job, some romantic, some not,” she tells the magazine, which hits newsstands Friday. She previously dated Ryan Gosling, her costar in The Notebook, and actor Josh Lucas.

Still, she says, she doesn’t have a type when it comes to men. “I don’t think so, although I guess everyone says that, right? I like to be surprised by people, and I find that makes life a lot easier too, when you just accept what’s coming your way.”

Asked about her dating style, McAdams says she’s not afraid to put herself out there.

“I’m not shy,” she says. “But I feel like I give off more confidence than I really have. I get in trouble for being overly friendly at times.”

As for having children one day, McAdams says she’s waiting for the right time.

“Part of me is very attached to the idea of having children,” she says, but adds that “it’ll depend on if I find the person I want to do that with.”

Partrick Wilson on Rachel

Rachel’s co-star Partick Wilson is currently promoting his project ‘Barry Munday‘ and he has something nice to say about his ‘Morning Glory‘ co-stars and about the movie itself.

… And then, there’s Morning Glory, which is a romantic comedy. That opens in November. It’s really good. Harrison Ford and Rachel McAdams are great, and Diane Keaton is really funny.
