The US promotion tour began with a press conference in Los Angeles. “The Vow” topped the box office and broke records and quickly became a fan favorite. It received MTV Movie Awards, Teen Choice and People Choice nominations. After the promotion tour Rachel spend some time back home in Toronto before heading to Berlin to start filming “Passion”. She joined her boyfriend Michael Sheen after wrapping up filming to support him promoting “Gospel of Us”. She attended the Wales and London premiere. Both “Passion” and “To The Wonder” hit the Cannes film market in May to find (international buyers). Rachel flew back to Toronto early June to enjoy some free time before heading to London and Cornwall to start filming for “About Time”, which is written and directed by Richard Curtis. She was spotted in the audience of the Wimbledon Finale 2012 in between filming days.
After wrapping up filming her part for “About Time” in late July Rachel returned to Los Angeles. It was announced that both “Passion” and “To The Wonder” were selected for the Venice Film Festival 2012 but Rachel was unable to attend the premieres. She graced the cover of VS. Magazine’s Fall edition shot by actress Drew Barrymore.
“Passion” and “To The Wonder” were part of the Toronto International Film Festival selection and Rachel came out to support both movies by attending the premieres. Both movies also found an US distributor during the TIFF market and it was announced that both movies will get a (limited) release in the Spring of next year.
Rachel began filming her 3th movie “A Most Wanted Man” early October in Hamburg, Germany. She gushed to Entertainment Weekly about looking forward to working with her favorite actor Philip Seymour Hoffman before filming began.

Rachel flew back home to Toronto for the Holidays. She dyed her hair to red late December but we only got a few fan pictures.
Rachel is rumored to be attached to star in “Maudie” next year. The indie movie found financing at the TIFF 2012 market. She is also rumored to be in talks for “Cold City”. There might also be a possible collaboration with director Steven Soderbergh in the future.
Rachel has a busy year a head. With the Spring theatre release of both “To The Wonder” and “Passion” in the US. “A Most Wanted Man” is expected to be released in the Fall. “About Time” is currently set for a May 10 release but Universal is considering moving the release.
Favorites of 2012
Here are our favorites of this year, do you agree with them or not? If you have other favorite or additions be sure to comment below.
Best Red Carpet Look
Almost all of Rachel’s red carpet looks were styled by her stylists Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn. We really loved how Rachel looked during TIFF. Our favorite look of 2012 is during the TIFF “Passion” premiere. She looked stunning in Pucci.
The best news of this year is probably the news that Rachel was cast in the Anton Corbijn directed movie “A Most Wanted Man”. Rachel will star in the movie alongside Philip Seymour Hoffman – who she named her favorite actor in 2009 -, Willem Dafoe, Robin Wright and Daniel Brühl.
Our favorite photoshoot of this year is the promotional shoot she did with Channing Tatum for “The Vow”. The shoot was used for various (international) magazines.
Our favorite interview is her VS. Magazine interview. Drew Barrymore interviewed Rachel for the magazine and she also photographed the editorial.
Best Magazine Feature
Rachel graced the cover of Glamour magazine and the editorial was a really fun shoot, so definitely one of our favorites.
We always admire how down to earth Rachel is, so we really loved her quote from her Metro UK interview.
“It’s been challenging at times because it is such a different world from the one I grew up in but I try to keep my feet on the ground, to take it slowly and enjoy it.”
-Rachel McAdams, Metro UK
Best Quote on Rachel
We really loved the press tour of “The Vow” because Rachel and Channing genuinely seem to enjoy spending time together. Channing revealed he signed on to learn from Rachel.
“Look, she [Rachel McAdams] is one of the most brilliant and beautifulpeople that I’ve ever met. Not just as an actor, but as a person. She cares. She has the true talent to be able to make any line work – and we’ve got some serious big lines in this movie – which can be hard to pull off, but she just does. She has an uncanny ability to make anything sound real and amazing because she commits and believes in it. I’m in awe of her and I’ve learned so much from her.”
-Channing Tatum, “The Vow” co-star in Rezrib.com interview
Rachel only had one movie released in theaters: “The Vow”. It’s therefor our favorite project of 2012. “Passion” and “To The Wonder” only released during festivals. We are really happy to see how successful the movie became – it grossed over 200 million world wide. It was one of the reasons why Rachel listed so high in lists such as Vulture’s Most Valuable movie stars and IMDB star meter.
