“The Passion” with Michael Sheen?

Midnight in Paris” co-star Michael Sheen is currently preparing for his theater event “The Passion” which will be held at various non-theater spaces across Port Talbot over Easter weekend. He co-directs and stars and is joined by a professional cast of 14 and a lot of local extras. According to local rumors Rachel will join Michael for “The Last Supper” at the Seaside Social and Labour Club in Sandfields. It was never confirmed Rachel would appear in one of the (mini) productions of the event (a total of 13 productions) by a spokeswoman but she did reveal that we: “… may catch some unexpected surprises“, maybe she was hinting us about Rachel’s ‘surprise’ appearance?

Rachel and Michael visited Ireland last month, and since Rachel always stated she would love to return to the theater some day it could be she will make a surprise appearance in “The Passion“. We will keep an eye out on the website of Port Talbot, they are giving clues about the event. BBC recently revealed the production will also be filmed.

“Midnight in Paris” First Production Stills + More Details

Sony Classics released new production stills for “Midnight in Paris“, after the trailer and poster release, today. A total of 14 new stills are released and 4 stills feature Rachel. We added them in HQ in our gallery, they are all from new scenes that aren’t featured in the trailer so I think we can expect a large supporting role for Rachel. You can watch the other production still via the official facebook account, and be sure to ‘Like’ the account if you haven’t.

Sonny Classics also released some character names. Rachel will play Inez and she has a relationship with Gil (Owen Wilson). Inez and Gil visited Paris with Inez’s parents John (Kurt Fuller) and Helen (Mimi Kennedy) and they run into Paul (Michael Sheen) and Carol (Nina Arianda). Léa Seydoux appearers as Gabrielle, Gad Elmaleh as Détective Tisserant and Carla Bruni as a Museum Guide. The official website also has a new temporary layout.

Possible New Project: Doug Liman Untitled ‘Moon’ Project

A new possible project has came up for Rachel, she is possible involved in the upcoming still untitled ‘Moon‘ Project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, which is a reliable source most of the time, Rachel met with Doug Liman but he met and is still meeting other actors and actresses.

The story sounds true, especially since Rachel was seen out and about in LA before heading to Oklahoma for the (re-)shoot for the untitled Terrence Malick project. A big chance Rachel’s meeting with Doug Liman took place while she was in LA, or maybe she even went to LA to meet with him in the first place? Read the story below, it sounds like an interesting project.

Doug Liman’s untitled Moon project at Paramount may be getting back in orbit.

Liman set up the film project, at one time known as Luna, at DreamWorks back in 2007, after which it migrated to Paramount. Jake Gyllenhaal remained attached at both homes.

The story centers on a renegade group of former space employees, led by an Eastern European woman, who travel the world, stealing space equipment in an attempt to go back to the moon to acquire an energy source. The last item to steal — or in this case, kidnap — is an ex-NASA employee.

The script has gone through several substantial rewrites from several high-profile scribes, including, but not limited to, Mark Bowden, Ken Nolan and Simon Kinberg.

Liman, who directed the recent political thriller Fair Game, has several projects in development and was up until recently enamored with the sci-fi action project All You Need Is Kill at Warners. Kill, however, is now cooling down, while Moon heats up.

Gyllenhaal has moved on, and Liman is now determined to find his two or three leads in one shot. The filmmaker would like to shoot late summer, although no green light has been given and the strength and chemistry of the leads will be a factor in Paramount moving forward.

Those in on the actress meetings included Rosario Dawson, Megan Fox, Rachel McAdams, Eva Mendes, Zoe Saldana and Olivia Wilde.

On the guy side, Andrew Garfield, Emile Hirsch and Chris Pine were met with.

Liman isn’t done yet. He is back in Los Angeles on Wednesday for one day and plans to return next week for more meetings.

No official confirmation on other possible future projects are made so far. Rachel is currently back home in Toronto and probably taking her (well deserved) break after shooting non stop for almost a year now.

TV Appereances Additions

Today we came across some missing photos of Rachel during two different TV appearances: during “The Today Show” (November 8 2010) while promoting “Morning Glory” and “The Late Night Show with Conan O’Brien” (December 4, 2009) while promoting “Sherlock Holmes“. Both sets can be viewed in our gallery.

“Midnight In Paris” Poster Debuts

The first official poster for “Midnight in Paris” was just debuted by Yahoo Movies, unfortunately Rachel is not featured but it’s a still of Owen Wilson walking through the streets of Paris in combination of Vincent van Gogh’s “The Starry Night” (Sterrennacht). The poster looks promising! The full poster can be viewed in our gallery. We recently added a short on set video of Rachel and her co-stars in our media archive. Head over to our media archive, and watch the video.

The movie is officially selected as Opening film of Cannes Film Festival 2011 on May 11th and will get a limited New York/Los Angeles release May 20th. Mimi Kennedy recently revealed more information on the plot in an interview. Let’s hope Sony Classics will release the official (teaser) trailer and website soon.
