Possibly a new role for Rachel with director Terry Malick.
The notoriously reclusive filmmaker has lured no less than Christian Bale, Javier Bardem, Rachel McAdams, and Olga Kurylenko into the as yet untitled love story he’s written and directed. Shooting begins this fall. Now FilmNation Entertainment has come on board to handle the international sales and distribution of the pic which will be available to foreign buyers for the first time at the European Film Market in Berlin. The film will be produced by Nicolas Gonda, Sarah Green and Bill Pohlad. Malick’s previous films include: Badlands, Days of Heaven, The Thin Red Line and The New World. His latest The Tree of Life is due for release this year.

Like any anything, it is still a rumour until made official.

Boo! D:
I want her to be in SH2, not some
(sounds like) dumb movie! This one I
hope is a rumor. =/

@Alex: just because Rachel might be in this film doesn’t mean she won’t be in SH2, so don’t lose hope ;)

^ True. A lot of actors do a couple movies at a time. But yes, she does need to be in Sherlock 2. I think there is a high chance she’ll be in it anyway. She was the leading lady after all.

@Alex: I completely disagree, Terrence Malick makes movies that are very slow building and very substantial. His movies really allow his actors to search deep inside themselves and highlight their acting capabilities. This is great news for Rachel. Add to that, Sherlock Holmes 2 will be shot over the summer while this movie will begin shooting in the fall so you don’t have to worry about that. Honestly, she doesn’t need Sherlock Holmes 2, she was completely wasted in the first movie and there is no guarantee that it won’t happen again in the sequel.
All major news outlet have picked up on this so I think this is true.

Yes she had a small part in SH. But it was a good part. Her chemistry with RDJ is amazing, and I cannot wait to see them on the screen again and therefore hope to see her as a part of SH2.

Terrence Malick’s movies are Oscar-nominated Best Picture movies, DO WANT.
I hope this isn’t a rumour and she does both SH2 and this. SH2 for the money (doesn’t it start filming in March? and this starts in the fall, so it fits perfectly), and this for the acting chops and credentials that she would eventually get if she picked it up.
Oh oops, I basically just said everything what Matt said already. 8D GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE.

Whoa, everyone dissagrees with me :P
Just like everywhere else. Well, fine, whether
it’s true or not, I guess it would be awesome
to see her in more movies. So. there.

Please everyone, try to maintain a positive attitude. No fighting ;) This should be a good thing, and remember that no one ever said Rachel couldn’t be in two films at once

What about NESS?
Will Rachel be in NESS?
I hope Rachel be in both SH2 and this movie.

alex, there isn’t even a synopsis given on malick’s new movie, so how does it sound boring?
